FloCombat prospect Sid Wheeler made an emphatic return at Valor Fights 45. Here's what went down at the event.

Sid Wheeler is back.

FloCombat's No. 11-ranked middleweight prospect, Wheeler fell on tough times recently, suffering a gruesome car accident in the summer of 2017 that left his career in limbo. Ever the fighter, Wheeler didn't just survive, he thrived, buckling down on his nutrition and his training like never before to make his comeback to the cage.

That all came to light Saturday at Valor Fights 45, where he took on Robert Hale in the night's main event at a catchweight of 175 pounds.

The fight was contested mostly on the feet, with Wheeler winning almost every exchange. He was sharp and light, scoring with a variety of kicks and punches against the game Hale. Wheeler dropped his foe twice but couldn't find the finish, a testament to Hale's toughness and resiliency under fire.

In the end, it was a unanimous decision victory for Wheeler, and it put him back on track and back on the path toward greatness inside the cage. Welcome back.

Also on the card, undefeated bantamweight phenom Cole Ferrell somehow outdid himself.

Fighting all the way up at a catchweight of 150 pounds to accommodate his opponent, Ferrell put on a show. He immediately closed the distance and locked in a guillotine choke on Latral Purdue, ending the fight well under a minute.

Another fight, another flawless victory for Ferrell, who certainly has something big in store the next time he takes the cage.
