A highly anticipated showdown between women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and former women’s bantamweight title holder Holly Holm is no longer on the table for Dec. 30's UFC 219 card, according to Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez.

The bout has stalled in negotiations.

“Holly was anxiously awaiting the Dec. 30 fight with Cyborg and had been training for it," Fresquez said via MMAFighting.com. "But we could not come to financial terms for this featherweight title bout in December. We look forward to meeting her under the right circumstances."

Cyborg, who won the belt by defeating Tonya Evinger at UFC 214 in late July, hopes to remain on the card.

It is the latest twist in the on-again, off-again bout which has been targeted for months. Most recently, Holm took to social media to discuss the drug testing leading up to the potential bout.

UFC 219 takes place Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The event recently lost a bantamweight title bout between former champion Dominick Cruz and Jimmie Rivera after Cruz was forced out with an injury

Still intact on the card is the return of Carlos Condit, who faces Neil Magny, along with a strawweight bout between former titleholder Carla Esparza and Team Alpha Male's Cynthia Calvillo.
