Submission Underground kicked off its main card July 17 at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Ore., with a back-and-forth matchup between grappling standouts Nate Orchard and Guilherme "Bomba" Vasconcelos. 

Orchard, a 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu ace, suffered a shoulder injury early in his bout with the Bellator MMA fighter, but that didn't stop them from heading deep into the overtime periods, where one man eventually triumphed.
