Fury FC 19 live from Humble, Texas.

Cody Owens is a bad man. There's just no better way to put it.

The Texas-born bantamweight ran roughshod through the amateur ranks as he defeated all five of the men he faced in the days before fighting came with paychecks. As it would turn out success is something Owens takes pride in as those winning ways have continued into the professional realm as well. "The Texas Zombie" smashed out both men he'd faced since making the pro turn back in April, and attempted to make it a trifecta of of damage on Saturday night at Fury FC 19.

The surging 135-pound smashing machine squared off with Kaleb Petereit and wasted zero time getting down to working his signature brand of ground violence. Owens put Petereit on the canvas at will until his aggression opened up the opportunity to sink in a fight-ending arm triangle choke in the second round. With the victory Owens not only keeps his undefeated record intact, but ensures the buzz surrounding his profile will only amplify in the months ahead.
