Evolution Fighting Championship 6 streaming live on FloCombat.
Rematches were the main point of focus at the Kansas Star Casino on Saturday night at EFC 6.

The main event saw Josh Pfeifer and Cody Carrillo run back an immediate from their first clash back in May, and "Psycho" and "Slipknot" were eager to throw down once more in Mulvane. The co-main event also featured a second meeting between combatants as veteran kickboxer Marcio Navarro and up-and-coming Canadian talent Branden Chevrefils.

The kickboxing tilt hit the cage first and it easily stole the show as Chevrefils and Navarro went to war for 15 incredible minutes. While Chevrefils came up short in their first meeting, the 32-year-old was determined to even out the series at EFC 6. And that's exactly what he did.

Although "The Locomotive" was accurate with his shots, Chevrefils was equally accurate, but had more power on the end of his shots as he put Navarro on the deck twice throughout the bout. And while he was comfortably ahead on the scorecards going into the final round, Chevrefils was completely game to engage in a mutual firefight shootout in the final 10 seconds of the bout.

Both men unloaded everything they had and it was an incredible upset for a man with minimal experience to bounce back and defeat an opponent with more than 30 bouts to his advantage.

The main event between Pfeifer and Carrillo also saw no shortage of action.

With Carrillo taking the first fight, Pfeifer was bound and determined to even the series at EFC 6. The bout started out on the feet with both fighters finding some success with combinations, but Pfeifer was able to get the bout to the canvas and went to work. "Slipknot" dropped elbows from the top and landed some heavy leather from the back as well.

Although Pfeifer had all the momentum going into the third round after he dropped Carrillo with a big shot at the end of the second, the more experienced veteran rebounded strong in the third frame and melted his opponent with a big shot of his own midway through the round. Pfeifer did his best to recover but Carrillo dropped a series of stomps to the body which forced the referee to step in and stop the bout.

With the victory, Carrillo not only swept the series with Pfeifer, but picked up the EFC lightweight title in the process.
