Valor Fights returns to FloCombat Saturday, July 21, with a stacked Valor Fights 51 fight card, featuring a heavyweight title fight between Chandler Cole (3-1) and Aaron Bush (4-0) and much more.
Valor Fights 51 brought the heat to FloCombat Saturday, July 21, live from Johnson City, Tennessee. With undefeated (5-0) prospect Cole Ferrell making his return, heavyweights Cole Chandler and Aaron Bush slugging for gold, and more, the event provided plenty of action from start to finish.
Two heavyweight monsters took center stage for the night's main event, as the undefeated Bush (4-0) took on Cole (3-1) in a high-stakes showdown.
After trading heavy hands for the majority of the opening frame, Cole found himself in top position against the cage and went to work. Bush had no answers for Cole's stifling pressure and ground-and-pound, giving up his back and signaling the end.
Cole hammered away with punches and hammerfists, forcing the referee to intervene.
With the victory, Cole took home the Valor Fights heavyweight strap and sent a message to UFC President Dana White, asking to be featured on the Contender Series.
Earlier in the evening, 5-0 Cole Ferrell took on longtime vet Joe Pegg at a 140-pound catchweight. With five first-round finishes (none going past the halfway mark), Ferrell earned a reputation for being one of the fastest, most ruthless finishers in the Southeast MMA scene.
...That didn't change at Valor Fights 51.
Seconds into the bout, Ferrell cracked Pegg with punches, slammed him to the canvas, locked up a Von Flue choke and ended the fight.
It was pure domination, and Ferrell let the world know what's up following the victory with a hot-fire promo.
Also of note, Adam Townsend made a successful Muay Thai debut with a perfect first-round TKO of Justin Hatcher, while Charlie Alexander rolled to a decision over Keith Olson on the pro portion of the card.
