On Friday night, the top mixed martial arts promotion in South Carolina, Warfare MMA, returned for their final show of 2017. Inside the “House of Blues” in Myrtle Beach, SC, Warfare 17 delivered quite the night of mixed martial arts excitement. The card aired live on FloCombat.

The evening was topped off by a heavyweight slugfest between undefeated prospects Marvin Skipper (4-1) and Tebaris Gordon (4-0). Undefeated records weren’t the only things at stake, as the vacant “South Carolina Heavyweight State Championship” was on the line as well. “Boom” Gordon certainly lived up to his nickname, folding Skipper in the second round via a vicious knee to the liver.

In the night’s co-main event, “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series” veteran Cee Jay Hamilton (12-5) looked to rebound in what was his first bout since his appearance on the UFC Fight Pass original this past summer.

Opposite “The Autobot” was a veteran of over 24 bouts, Ryan Hollis (12-13). The technical three-round affair saw both men have their moments. For the duration of the bout, Hamilton took an “in-and-out” approach, whereas Hollis looked to keep the distance and utilize his reach. When all was said and done, it was Cee Jay Hamilton getting the unanimous nod from the judges.
