Main Event: Romulo Barral vs Tanner Rice

Barral has been competing at the highest level of the sport for more than a decade. In that time, he’s earned his status as a legend. He’s defeated some of the biggest and baddest competitors over the years with his patient, pressure-heavy knee cut pass and his iconic spider guard. And he’s appeared on the World Championship podium all but two years between 2006 and 2015. He has gold medals from five of those podium visits, accompanied by a No-Gi Worlds title and an ADCC titles.

Although Barral has tapered his competitive activity since 2017 and has not competed since December, he remains a formidable opponent for anyone.

He’ll be fighting up three weight classes to face the ultra-heavyweight Tanner Rice. Barral has faced some of his toughest challenges against heavier opponents, and Rice is among the largest grapplers today. With Rice’s durable guard and his smash passing style, this main event could keep us on the edge of our seats.

Co Main Event: Marcio Andre vs Ronaldo Junior

Marcio Andre has made it his business to challenge young, hyped up black belts on the Fight to Win Stage. This time he’ll go up two weight divisions to take on the human highlight reel, Ronaldo Junior. Ronaldo has been carrying the hype as Atos’ next big thing since earning his black belt in 2019, and is looking to redeem himself after his most recent decision loss to Vagner Rocha at Who’s Number One last month.

He’ll find stiff competition in Andre, who has appeared on the World Championship podium every year since 2015 and earned No-Gi Worlds gold in 2016.

Andre has a tight, tactical game, but he knows how to finish opponents when he opens up. Ronaldo will likely try to turn this into a free for all with his explosive, attack-heavy game. If the match becomes a scramble, both men have savvy submissions which can come seemingly out of nowhere. You won’t want to blink.
