Julio Arce vs. Julian Erosa In The Works For UFC Fight Night 151: Rochester

The UFC’s debut in Rochester, New York, is starting to take shape, and the promotion is scheduling some of the state’s finest talent to fill the UFC Fight Night 151 card.

The latest fighter the UFC is targeting for the event is New York-based featherweight Julio Arce, as a bout between Arce and Julian Erosa is in the works for the May 18 event, multiple sources tell FloCombat.

One of the UFC’s top 145-pound prospects, Arce will look to rebound off of his first loss since 2016, suffered at the hands of Sheymon Moraes at UFC 230. Prior to the clash with the gritty Brazilian, the Ring of Combat veteran Arce had won dominant back-to-back fights against Dan Ige and Daniel Teymur.

It will most likely be “do or die” for Washington’s Erosa, who has dropped both of his UFC fights since returning to the promotion in late 2018.

“Juicy J” split his fights during his first tenure with the promotion from 2015 to 2016. Erosa’s lone UFC win came in his debut, when he defeated Marcin Wrzosek at the TUF 22 Finale.
