Just when you thought Bellator 214 couldn’t get any more stacked, sources tell FloCombat surging prospects Ricky Bandejas (11-1) and Juan Archuleta (21-1) will collide on the Jan. 26 card in Los Angeles.

The bout will be contested in the bantamweight division.

A former champion of the esteemed CFFC promotion, Bandejas burst onto the national scene in just his first Bellator MMA fight. After enduring weeks of trash talk from Conor McGregor protege James Gallagher, Bandejas knocked out the brash Irishman in a matter of minutes.

Coming off a highlight-reel victory in his promotional debut, New Jersey’s Bandejas has his sights set on Bellator gold. First, he’ll have to conquer an extremely tough test in the 21-1 sensation Archuleta.

Highly regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound up-and-comers in MMA, Archuleta has passed every test with flying colors. The former four-division—yes, four-division—King of the Cage champion has gone 3-0 thus far in Bellator, defeating Jeremy Spoon, Robbie Peralta, and William Joplin in dominant fashion.

Bellator 214 is currently headlined by the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix final matchup between Ryan Bader and Fedor Emelianenko.

Also on the card, Bellator MMA Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi takes on Rafael Lovato Jr., and Aaron Pico battles Henry Corrales. Former WWE superstar Jack Swagger is also slated to make his MMA debut against JW Kiser.
