Erik Koch Out, Dwight Grant vs. Zak Ottow Targeted For UFC on Fox 31

Dwight Grant will no longer face Erik Koch at UFC on Fox 31 in Milwaukee.

According to sources close to the situation, Grant is expected to clash with Wisconsin native Zak Ottow at the Dec. 15 event, FloCombat learned.

The reasoning behind Koch’s withdrawal is unknown at this time.

A member of the esteemed American Kickboxing Academy (AKA), Grant thrilled fans on this past season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. The 34-year-old fighter battered Alan Belcher underling Tyler Hill, scoring a highlight-reel knockout in the first round.

Prior to the knockout of Hill, Grant dominated the regional scenes from coast to coast—so much so that the 6’1” welterweight struggled securing a fight for almost two years.

UFC Milwaukee will serve as a homecoming for Grant's opponent, 31-year-old Zak “The Barbarian” Ottow. After devastating Mike Pyle in March, Ottow suffered a knockout loss of his own against Sage Northcutt back in July.
