Before you get your hearty helping of Thanksgiving dinner next Thursday, FloCombat is dishing out a fat serving of violence this weekend.

Friday night, top Northeast promotion Ring of Combat returns for yet another fantastic night of face-punching action.

Ring Of Combat 66 Highlights

In an exciting middleweight showdown, undefeated Kyle Daukaus takes on experienced veteran Dustin Long. Making his Ring of Combat debut, Daukaus is a solid import from outside the promotion.

The 25-year-old submission specialist has not yet seen a third round in his four-fight professional career.

His opponent, Tennessee’s Long, hasn’t competed since May of 2017 when he suffered an injury against Benjamin Rowland at a Warrior FC/Valor Fights co-promotion event. Now healthy, Long looks to halt Daukaus’s momentum in its tracks.

Also on the card is a Ring of Combat lightweight title eliminator, as Joe Solecki battles Gil Patrocinio.

Winning five of his first seven professional bouts, the submission ace Solecki looks to rebound from a knockout loss suffered this past July.

In early 2015, Patrocinio seemed destined for UFC greatness. A few bumps in the road later, he is looking to propel his name onto the UFC’s short list once again. Getting past Solecki Friday could provide the boost he needs to achieve that goal.

Chris Weidman Protege

Earlier in the evening, Chris Weidman protégé Dennis Buzukja will look to pick up his second win in 36 days. In his debut at Bellator 208 on Long Island, Buzukja impressively defeated Ryan Castro in under three minutes.

Standing in the LAW MMA prospect’s way will be Evolution Fitness’s Nick Rodrigues.

After dropping his pro debut at LFA 17, Rodrigues has rebounded, winning his next two bouts. In his last outing, the 24-year old defeated seasoned veteran Lawrence Dennis Jr. by second-round submission.

V3Fights 71 Breakdown

In the latter half of a double-header, Saturday night’s FloCombat action comes at you in the form of V3 Fights 71.

Headlined by a Contender Series veteran, V3Fights 71 pins 18 of the top professional and amateur fighters in the region against one another.

Don'Tale Mayes IS BACK

In the evening’s headliner, two-time Contender Series veteran Don’Tale Mayes squares off against fellow heavyweight Kem Oti.

After dropping his first appearance on the UFC’s original series, Mayes rebounded this past summer, defeating Mitchell Sipe in a gruesome, bloody battle.

The former boxer has long been considered one of the best heavyweight prospects in North America. Saturday night, he’ll look to reaffirm that status and take another step toward the UFC Octagon.

His fight night foe, Nkemdirim Oti, will look to spoil the party and snap his losing streak in the process. The durable Alabaman has served as a reputable test for any opponent, having never been finished in his entire career.

Ohio State Wrestling Stud Mark Martin Returns

Before Mayes and Oti try to knock each other’s blocks off, former Ohio State University wrestling standout Mark Martin returns to the cage for his sophomore pro MMA outing.

The 25-year-old fighter turned heads in his plunge into the professional waters earlier this year. At V3Fights 68, Martin ran through previously undefeated welterweight Mark Kolker—submitting him in just 91 seconds.

Now, Martin sets his sights on Georgia’s Yemi Oduwole, who is no easy test for even the most seasoned opponent. The 28-year-old fighter is riding a three-fight win streak entering the clash with Martin, including two victories by submission.

Will Martin take another step toward superstardom, or will Oduwole prove to be too much, too soon for the former wrestling standout?

There's only one way to find out. Kick back, crack open a cold one, and enjoy the show.
