Liking what he saw, White inked V3Fights veterans Bobby Moffett and Joseph Lowry to Contender Series contracts.

Now, Moffett is a member of the UFC roster and will compete at UFC Fight Night 139 against Chas Skelly in Denver.

Continuing the momentum entering Saturday’s night of fights, V3Fights has a top-notch main event in store for fight fans.

Gifford vs. Brown = Fire

Experienced regional veteran Thomas Gifford (16-7) looks to continue his recent streak of success. The 26-year-old fighter has only lost once in his last eight outings, with six finishes in that time including back-to-back first-round guillotines over LFA standout Trey Ogden.

The Team Relentless product is a big lightweight, standing 6’1” with a 76” reach—rare for a 155-pounder.

Standing in his way will be Texas native Chris Brown (2-0)—no, not that Chris Brown, but talented nonetheless.

And yes, you read that right. A 2-0 fighter is going to take on a 16-7 fighter. Seems like a mismatch, right?

Wrong.

It’s not that Brown is being thrown to the wolves—it’s actually quite the contrary.

Training at JacksonWink MMA alongside fighters like Jon Jones and Mike Perry, Brown is renowned by MMA’s inner circles as the “next big thing."

Taking on Gifford in just his third pro fight, Brown will be truly tested.

More JacksonWink Action

Gifford vs. Brown isn’t the only notable fight taking place at V3Fights 70.

Earlier in the evening, Brown’s JacksonWink teammate Edwin Cooper Jr. will make his professional debut when he takes on Kellen VanCamp.

Before a standout wrestling career at Iowa, Cooper was a four-time finalist and a two-time champion in the state of Illinois. Going undefeated in his amateur career, his pro debut will be a must-see event.

According to sources close to the situation, the promotion contacted over 50 fighters to take on Cooper before one man was finally brave enough to agree.

The 21-year-old VanCamp is a do-or-die fighter, with 75 percent of his fights ending inside the distance.

Stylistically, this fight has all the makings to be Fight of the Night.

Tune in live Saturday, Oct. 20, at 8 PM ET to see which prospects take the next step toward the big show and which ones falter under the bright lights of the V3Fights cage.
