Former NFL players turned mixed martial artists Austen Lane and Greg Hardy scrap June 12 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, bringing plenty of hype and intrigue with them.

Lane, a former defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs, carries a 4-0 professional record into the bout, with all four victories coming via first-round KO/TKO. Add onto that his 5-0 record as an amateur—also all first-round stoppages—and there's no doubt he can shut the lights off with one flick of the fist.

In March, Lane took on multi-promotion heavyweight champ Ben Rowland at Warfare 18 right here on FloCombat, showcasing his signature power en route to a victory via doctor's stoppage.

Like Lane, Hardy hasn't wasted his time inside the cage.

The former All-Pro defensive end for the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys is 3-0 as an amateur mixed martial artist and will make his pro debut vs. Lane.

Training out of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, Hardy has transitioned smoothly to the fighting life, with none of his victories lasting more than 100 seconds.

In December of 2017, Hardy fought Kenneth Woods at AKA: Rite of Passage 2 on FloCombat in what was his longest bout to-date. Woods lasted 96 seconds before the referee had to intervene.

Hardy then followed that up with a 14-second knockout victory at LFA 33 in February, earning his shot on Dana White's Contender Series.
