Struve and Arlovski are ranked No. 10 and No. 12 in the UFC's official rankings, respectively, but a deeper look at their records reveals a slightly less positive story.
Struve is coming off a TKO defeat against Alexander Volkov at UFC Fight Night 115, while Arlovski is just 1-5 in his last six, with three of those defeats coming via knockout.
With Arlovski, there is a bright side, as the former UFC champ defeated Junior Albini in his most recent outing Nov. 11 at UFC Fight Night 120 in Norfolk.
Similarly, Struve had pieced together back-to-back wins before his latest slip-up vs. Volkov, defeating Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva via knockout and Daniel Omielanczuk via submission in 2016.
Also confirmed thus far for UFC 222 are a middleweight bout between CB Dollaway and Hector Lombard, the return of Cat Zingano, who faces Ketlen Vieira, and a bantamweight tilt between Sean O'Malley and Andre Andre Soukhamthath.
