There is no larger attraction in combat sports than a heavyweight fighter with knockout power. And Francis Ngannou certainly fits that description.

"The Predator" has been settling his opposition with force and gaining increased attention as the names he's crushed have gotten bigger and bigger. Ngannou's recent destruction of world-renowned striker Alistair Overeem at UFC 218 launched him into the spotlight but also led to the knockout artist securing a title shot against champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 220 in January.

During his time serving as commentator for the UFC and all-around spokesman for the sport of mixed martial arts, Joe Rogan knows when a fighter's star is on the rise, and that's exactly what he believes is happening with Ngannou. Furthermore, Rogan went as far as to say the aura Ngannou is creating reminds him of another destructive force in former boxing juggernaut "Iron" Mike Tyson.

Rogan talked about Ngannou's rise and comparison to the former boxing champion during a recent episode of his JRE Podcast.

“Now they’ve got a star,” Rogan said. “I think Ngannou, one or two more fights, you’re going to be looking at Mike Tyson days. That’s what I think. You’re going to watch fights just to see how long these motherf*ckers can survive against this guy. That’s what I think. That could be their big, breakout star.”
