Bellator MMA is making a massive splash in 2018 with its Heavyweight Grand Prix, designed to crown the next Bellator MMA heavyweight king. 

Featuring eight of the sport's biggest stars — figuratively and literally — the tournament promises nonstop action and entertainment from start to finish. 

The Round 1 matchups are:

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Chael Sonnen (Saturday, Jan. 20) 

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Frank Mir (April) 

Matt Mitrione vs. Roy Nelson (Friday, Feb. 16) 

Ryan Bader vs. Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal (May)

In addition to the full bracket, Bellator released its first trailer for the Grand Prix, building hype even further.
