Valor Fights brings the ruckus each and every time out the gates, and the card for Valor Fights 46 will be no different in Nashville, TN, this weekend. The promotion is set to offer a stacked deck of vets and up-and-comers for its next card, which airs live and exclusively on FloCombat this Saturday night.

Let’s jump right into why you can’t miss this card.

Will “Big Sexy” Be The Next “Big Country?"

The Valor Fights 46 fight card is set to feature the return of Billy "Big Sexy" Swanson.

The heavyweight finishing machine recently improved to 8-1 as an amateur after earning a submission finish at Bellator MMA Fight Series: Talladega last month. Competing on one of the biggest stages in mixed martial arts and earning the victory was a huge feather in the big man’s cap, which only seems par for the course during Swanson’s rise to prominence.

Swanson has now won six straight with five finishes during that run and will defend his APEX Fights heavyweight title against Dakota McPherson at Valor Fights 46. Swanson’s move to the professional ranks is rapidly approaching, and an impressive showing against a tough opponent in McPherson could very well mark his passage to the next stage of his career.

While the fight game is an uncertain realm, the one guarantee on the table is that Swanson will bring the fight on Saturday night, and that draws parallels with another lovable big man in former UFC fighter and current Bellator star Roy Nelson.

Both men are quick with a joke and are known for putting their opposition away inside the distance. Granted, a comparison to Nelson leaves a lot for Swanson to live up to, but there’s little he hasn’t been able to do thus far in his run in the amateur ranks.

A Featured Bout With Deep Ties To MMA Royalty

In a featured bout, local Tennessee favorite Jennifer Clausius returns to face Pauline "Pita" Macias in amateur action.

Clausius is one of the state's most popular fighters, competing 10 times since her debut in December 2014. Most recently, Clausius defeated Khadija Mulla at Real MMA 15 via submission.

Macias, meanwhile, comes into the fight at 2-0. A former national judo team member, Macias boasts a massive list of judo accomplishments on the national and international stages.

Fun fact: Macias was introduced to MMA by childhood friend Ronda Rousey. You may have heard of her.

Macias, also counts the Diaz brothers (Nate and Nick) among her friends, making her a fighter to watch develop moving forward.
