Cain Velasquez will never be accused of being the most vocal fighter on the UFC roster, but wronging one of his teammates seems to do the trick of waking the sleeping beast from his slumber.

In a recent Q&A with reporters in South Korea, Velasquez was asked to share his thoughts on Jon Jones and the former light heavyweight champion's positive test for steroids following his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214.

Velasquez has been teammates and friends with Cormier since the day he started his mixed martial arts career, so it's no wonder he had a strong reaction to the subject of Jones' use of performance-enhancing drugs.

“It all comes down to people being dirty. Like, our gym, me, Daniel, we don’t need extra substances to make us better," Velasquez said. "We do it by working hard. We’ve done this since we were kids. We learned how to train, and train right, and go out there and be competitive. So, if you bring steroids or just some kind of performance-enhancing drug into it — if it’s not allowed, it’s not allowed.

"We want everybody to be on the same page, so for him to do that, for Jon Jones to do that — it's bullsh*t. That’s f*cking bullsh*t. Why? Did you not want to lose to Daniel? Is that what it was? Why?”

Jones remains on provisional suspension after his test result was returned, and he faces up to a four-year suspension for the infraction of the UFC's anti-doping policy.

Jones had previously tested positive for two banned substances in 2016 and was later suspended for a year by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency).

Since this is his second offense, Jones could be forced to sit out for the next four years after already having his win against Cormier overturned and being stripped of the UFC light heavyweight title.
