Tywan Claxton vs. Jonathan Bowman Official For Bellator 186
Undefeated prospect Tywan Claxton will make his professional MMA debut Nov. 3 at Bellator 186 in University Park, Pennsylvania.

After compiling a 7-0 record as an amateur, Claxton will face Jonathan Bowman (1-0 professional) in a featherweight bout at the event.

Claxton made a strong push to face Aaron Pico for his first foray into the Bellator cage, but the 24-year-old instead drew Bowman. Bowman made his pro MMA debut at Bellator 125, winning via split decision. Despite being out of action for three years, Bowman should give fans an idea of where Claxton stands in the pro ranks.

Coming off back-to-back knockout victories, Claxton has set expectations quite high. The Blackzilians product trains with the sport's elite, preparing for the big stage from day one of his MMA career.

Now that time will come on Nov. 3 at Bellator 186. The stacked fight card is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between champion Ryan Bader and challenger Linton Vassell. Also on the card is Bellator's inaugural female flyweight title fight between Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Emily Ducote. Taking place on Penn State's campus -- one of the most prestigious wrestling schools in the nation -- the card features plenty of former collegiate wrestling talent.

The Nittany Lions' own Phil Davis and Ed Ruth are on the card, as is former four-time All-American and undefeated MMA prospect from the University of Minnesota Logan Storley

Davis will face undefeated Leo Leite (10-0). Ruth will fight former UFC combatant Chris Dempsey, and Storley will square off against "The Ultimate Fighter" and WSOF vet Matt Secor. Also highlighting the show is a matchup between Saad Awad and Zach Freeman, who shocked many with a first-round finish of Pico at Bellator NYC in June.
