Three-time All-American wrestler Jarod Trice returns to the Bellator MMA cage Friday, Oct 6., for Bellator 184 in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
Trice, who is 2-0 as a professional, will make his third appearance under the Bellator banner, and it will come at 205 pounds against DeMarcus Simmons (1-0).
A hugely hyped prospect, the 28-year-old Trice certainly looked the part in his last outing, scoring a second-round knockout victory over Kevin Woltkamp at Bellator 171 back in January.
Simmons enters the fight with similar promise and appeal. He was undefeated as an amateur and had a successful pro debut via first-round knockout at Prevail MMA: MMA in the MWC in August.
Bellator 184 is headlined by a main event title fight between bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas and challenger Darrion Caldwell. Also on the card is a high-profile featherweight tilt between Emmanuel Sanchez and Daniel Straus.
