Three Reasons To Watch ONE: Shanghai On FloCombat
It's always worth watching when the man who can arguably lay claim to being the best welterweight on the planet steps into action, and Ben Askren has every intention of keeping his undefeated streak of dominance intact this Saturday, Sept. 2, in Shanghai.

The "Funky" one will put his flawless record and welterweight gold on the line against Swedish slugger Zebaztian Kadestam in the main event of ONE: Shanghai, but that is far from being the only highlight on the overall lineup. Let's take a look at three reasons to watch ONE: Shanghai this Saturday on FloCombat. The action kicks off live from China at 7 AM ET.

1) Ben Askren Faces A Man Bent On Destruction

We've seen what Ben Askren is capable of during his time dominating Bellator and ONE Championship. The former two-time NCAA Division I national champion wrestler is one of the most efficient fighters to ever compete and stays true to his strengths throughout each bout. Once Askren gets a hold of you, it's the beginning of the end, as the Milwaukee native employs a vast array of slick and sneaky takedowns to put his opponent on the canvas. And once Askren takes top position, the sound of taps being played echoes through arenas.

That said, Kadestam brings something unique to the table with his grit and power. In his most recent fight against Askren rival Luis "Sapo" Santos, Kadestam weathered a tough storm in the first two rounds only to score one of the most brutal knockouts in the history of ONE Championship. The end result saw Santos lying stiff on the canvas and Kadestam earning the biggest opportunity of his career in a fight with Askren.

When the cage door closes on Saturday, it will be Askren looking to extend his reign of terror and Kadestam aiming to dethrone the king.

2) A Muay Thai Legend Returns

Sagetdao "Deadly Star" Petpayathai is set to face Egypt's Mahmoud Mohamed in his second appearance under the ONE banner.

Petpayathai has won every major title in the world of Muay Thai and has become a legend because of his accomplishments. His lengthy list of achievements includes winning the Lumpinee crown on four occasions in addition to notching the titles of Rajdamnern and WBC Muay Thai world champion among many others.

After conquering Muay Thai, Petpayathai retired from the sport and transitioned into mixed martial arts. He won his promotional debut last March by knockout, stopping Malaysia's Kelvin Ong in just over two minutes, but Petpayathai is not done there. He has one more belt he wants to add to his storied collection -- the ONE Featherweight World Championship.

In the world of striking, Petpayathai is arguably without peer, and his fight with Mohamed will be guaranteed electricity when they step into the ONE cage in Shanghai.

3) Amir Khan Looks To Continue His Rise

While boxing has its Amir Khan, the MMA world also has a talented prospect by the same name. And he will enter the cage in Shanghai looking to keep the buzz attached to his name rolling strong.

The up-and-coming lightweight dropped a hard-fought split decision against Shannon Wiratchai in 2015 but has since gone on to reel off four straight victories inside the cage -- all of which have come via finish inside of the distance.

The 22-year-old Singaporean is set to take on what is perhaps the toughest test of his career in Jaroslav Jartim.

The Czech Republic native stumbled in his promotional debut against Honorio Banario, but all signs point to Jartim making big waves on the ONE stage. By coming into Shanghai and knocking off a highly touted prospect in Khan, Jartim would certainly accomplish his mission. That said, should Khan pick up his fifth consecutive victory there will be much bigger things in his immediate future.
