Kendrick Williams, y'all

Put plainly: Kendrick Williams is a beast. The 33-year-old fighter may have started his career later in life, but he's making up for lost time at a rapid clip.

He's fought three times since February 2016, winning all three fights via knockout, with none going past the second round. Most recently, Williams defeated Edward Longoria at LFA 4 in February, and he looks to build on that second-round knockout Friday at AKA 1: Rite of Passage.

Facing Rocky Landry for the inaugural AKA featherweight title, Williams has the opportunity to his name on the map in a big way.

And if you're not convinced on Williams' power and fury, check this out:

One Woman Will Bounce Back

Brandi Narvaez and Katherine Roy square off in a crucial pro matchup. As two of the most promising female fighters in the South, Narvaez and Roy looked primed to make a big leap in their last fights, both taking place under the LFA banner.

Unfortunately, each suffered defeat in that outing. Roy lost a unanimous decision to MMA super prospect Mackenzie Dern at LFA 6, while Narvaez was choked out by Itzel Esquivel at LFA 7. Prior to that defeat, Narvaez had gone 4-0 as an amateur, earning two first-round knockouts during that time.

Roy, meanwhile, was 2-0 as an amateur and 1-0 as a pro before her matchup with Dern.

Thankfully for Narvaez and Roy, one loss does not define a fighter, and the winner of this fight will make a significant stride in getting back on track. Who wants it more? We'll find out Friday.

Hailey Cowan Is Finally Here

The MMA debut of Hailey Cowan is upon us.

It's been a long time coming for the Texas native, and her fight against Anel Cantu in the amateur flyweight division is already garnering significant buzz across social media.

A former competitive cheer state champion and All-American at Baylor University, Cowan has traded in the pompoms for gloves, and she's ready to showcase her worth inside the cage. With a victory, there is no doubt Cowan will carry massive hype into her sophomore appearance, making her a fighter to watch Friday night and beyond.
