It was a night for amateurs to shine at Reality Fighting in Uncasville, CT live on FloCombat.
 
While the action-packed card was filled with leather-slinging action from up and coming male fighters from the Northeast, it was a women’s bout in the main event between Destiny Quinones and Grace Nowak who stole the show.
 
The two strawweights were competing for championship gold and it was an all-out scrap from the jump. Nowak took the edge early as she worked from the inside to eventually put Quinones on the canvas. A few failed submission attempts capped off the action but sealed the first round for the New York native.
 
Quinones bounced back strong in the second as she unloaded a bevy of combinations on her opponent, snapping Nowak’s head back with crisp shots at a steady clip. Quinones evened out the action by taking the second frame making it anyone’s game going into the final frame.
 
With the fight up for grabs Nowak attempted to secure the takedown early, but Quinones quickly swept and spent the majority of the final round on top position. That scramble was enough to secure Quinones the victory, and a Reality Fighting strawweight championship in the process.
