Well this all escalated fast …

Following his win at Bellator 173 last evening, James Gallagher made it well known who he wanted next inside the Bellator cage--AJ McKee.

After calling McKee out both in the cage after his fight and in the back speaking to the media, FloCombat reached out to the Mckee camp to get his response.

We were subsequently informed that Gallagher had sent McKee some messages earlier in the evening following his win. We were also sent the screenshots from the conversation that developed between the two which you can see below at the end of this post.

We were then provided AJ's cellphone number by his teammate  Anthony Taylor and told to give him a call to get his full response.

So here it is on a special edition of the Skinny G podcast, AJ McKee talks all things James Gallagher as he responds to Gallagher accusations that he backstabbed his teammate Anthony Taylor at Bellator 169, answers whether he wants the fight or not, and whether he would take a fight with Gallagher in London on May 19th.

Some of the important stuff ...

• Mckee doesn't think Gallagher faced top level competition last night at Bellator 173 last evening and thinks he was put against a guy who was meant to make him look good. 

• McKee and Gallagher exchanged messages on Instagram DM last evening. Gallagher informed McKee that he would be next and that he would like the fight in May. McKee responded by telling James to sign the contract when it comes. 

• Mckee refuted all accusations that Gallagher made about him informing him of Anthony Taylor's strategy before their fight at Bellator 169. 

• McKee says a fight between the two of them when they were friendly wouldn't been a 'friendly fade', but now it's not friendly and it's going to be "a brutal ass whooping for him".

• McKee went into detail on all DM messages exchanged between the pair of them. He's accused Gallagher of being a "McGregor wannabe", while the man from Strabane has fired back calling him a "pussy" and saying he will "strangle" him.

• McKee made it very clear that he wants the fight and he would take it in May. 

McKee also talks about the extent to which the fight has been discussed with Bellator officials, his plans for the year ahead, and what his own personal feelings are towards Gallagher now.
