Kimbo Slice Jr's Bellator Debut Canceled Due to Opponent Weight Issues

NCAA wrestling standout Tyrell Fortune makes his debut Nov. 4 at Bellator 163. Hear from him in this exclusive video.

The saga of Kimbo Slice continues in a roundabout way.

The superstar former mixed martial artist passed away earlier this year, but his son--aptly called "Baby Slice"--was scheduled to debut this coming weekend for Bellator.

That debut will have to wait.

Sources close to the promotion have confirmed that Kevin Ferguson Jr.'s bout was pulled from the event due to his opponent, Rick Bing, experiencing gross weight management issues.

Our sources told FloCombat that Bing missed weight by 16 pounds this morning, leaving officials no choice but to cancel the fight. Bellator officials confirmed Bing's weight with FloCombat on Thursday afternoon.

Ferguson Jr. was previously set to debut for Bellator Aug. 26 at Bellator 160, but he was forced off that card with an injury. Now, it appears his debut under the Bellator MMA banner will have to wait...again.
