For the first time in WNO history, a father, daughter, and son will take the mats on the same night. 

Over the past decade, Vagner Rocha made his mark on the no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu scene, earning three medals at the ADCC World Championships. In recent years, he has been joined at the highest level of jiu-jitsu by his children, Jasmine and Achilles, who have had impressive careers thus far.

Headlining WNO 23 in his main event bout against Nicholas Meregali, Vagner is a veteran of the game, winning his first ADCC Trials in 2010 and his first ADCC medal — bronze — at the 2017 ADCC World Championships. After improving upon his previous run with a silver medal at the 2019 ADCC World Championships in the -77kg division, Vagner earned his spot to compete in one of the first editions of WNO, where he defeated Ronaldo Jr. by referee's decision. 

Currently, Vagner is 3-1 on WNO with additional wins over Josh Hinger and Jon Blank, suffering his lone defeat to Gordon Ryan.

Returning to WNO on May 10 after fighting for the 125-lb title in 2023, Vagner's eldest child, Jasmine Rocha, has quickly made a name for herself in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, earning an IBJJF World No-Gi silver medal & several podium finishes at ADCC Trials in from 2021 through 2023. Improving rapidly throughout 2023, Jasmine fought twice at WNO with a 1-1 record, including a title bout against Ffion Davies, and won multiple ADCC opens. 

In 2024, Jasmine won gold at the West Coast Trials, defeating Alex Enriquez via rear naked choke in a rematch of the East Coast Trials finals. Jasmine will square off with fellow Who's Number One veteran Emily Ferreira at WNO 23. Ferreira is 1-0 at WNO, winning a decision over Rosa Walsh.

Rounding out the Rocha crew, Achilles garnered the attention of the grappling world when he won juvenile double gold in the blue belt division at the 2022 IBJJF World No-Gi Championships and was promptly promoted to purple belt. Wasting no time proving his technical prowess, Achilles was victorious in his WNO debut, defeating JB Bechtloff via toe hold. At WNO 23, Achilles will square off with veteran black belt competitor Camron Couch.

With each family member bringing their unique and aggressive fighting style to the mats, the Rochas promise an exhilarating show at WNO 23: Meregali vs Rocha on May 10.
