The man who can argue his case to being the best welterweight in the world is returning to action, as reigning ONE titleholder Ben Askren faces Zebaztian Kadestam at ONE Championship: Shanghai on Sept. 2. The event will mark the promotion's inaugural event in China's booming metropolis and will stream live to viewers in North America on FloCombat.

The news was released by ONE on Monday afternoon and will mark the former two-time national champion wrestler and former Olympian's sixth outing under the ONE banner. Askren carries an undefeated record into the tilt and has successfully defended his welterweight title on two occasions. The Milwaukee native recently defeated Agilan Thani at ONE: Dynasty of Heroes back in May, where he submitted the upstart title challenger via arm triangle choke in the first round of the tilt.

Kadestam also competed on the same card and scored a violent knockout victory over former Askren rival Luis Santos in a bout Kadestam was forced to rally back and win when he was down on the judges' cards. Throughout his career, Kadestam has proven to be a knockout artist, as he's earned all nine of his wins as a professional by way of brutal force generated by his hands, feet, and knees.
