FCFF Celebrates 15 Years of Fights With Rumble at the Roseland 90
January 28, 2017 is the official 15 year celebration for Full Contact Fighting Federation, the promotion responsible for paving the way for mixed martial arts in the state of Oregon. Since 2002, FCFF has been a pipeline for producing top MMA talent and as Oregon's first promotion, they have established themselves as a top regional show.

FCFF promoted their first event, Rumble at The Roseland, in 2001 at the Roseland Theater in downtown Portland. The promotion has helped launch the careers of some of the biggest names the sport has ever seen including Chael Sonnen, Ed Herman, Chris Leben, Mike Pierce, and Evan Dunham.

Fifteen years later, Rumble at The Roseland 90 will serve as a celebration of FCFF's history with twelve fights, including three exciting title fights in the flyweight, bantamweight, and lightweight divisions.

The stage is set for the lightweight division's next prospect to make a name for himself. Rumble 90 features five fights in the 155-pound division, including a main event title fight between Abasi Young and Thomas Patrick. Young recorded his first victory inside the cage by way of second-round TKO at Rumble at the Roseland 87 in May of 2016 against Adan Suarez, earning the FCFF Welterweight Superfight Championship.

Young will be looking to defend his title and keep his record perfect as he faces Thomas Patrick, a submission specialist with four submission wins to his record who fights out of the region's top gym, Gracie Barra Portland.

At Rumble at The Roseland 87, Patrick earned the FCFF Lightweight Superfight belt with a first round submission of Quinten Wyland. Despite losing the title in a rematch to Wyland at Rumble 88, Patrick wants another crack at the FCFF title. Entering his eight amateur bout, Patrick has his eyes set on entering the professional ranks should he be successful against Young.

The flyweight championship is also on the line between a pair of exciting 125-pound competitors. Justin Hubbard of Salem, Oregon will take on Isiaah Garza of Team Pah from Washington. Hubbard brings the experience of five fights to the cage, while Garza will carry the momentum of a two-fight win streak into the matchup at Rumble 90.

Rumble at The Roseland 90 also features three fighters from FCFF's "Best of 2016" list which recognizes top performances of the year. Exie Benitez, FCFF's "2016 Rookie of the Year" squares off against Mark Cano in a clash of Gracie Barra Portland versus Impact JJ. Straight Blast Gym's Zach Moore who earned "Best Knockout of 2016" is set to face Aaron Ecklund of Combat Sports Center in a match up that is sure to produce fireworks in the 145-pound division.

When the big boys at 215 pounds enter the cage, don't blink as Fernando Alvarado who earned "Fastest Knockout of 2016" faces Claude Phillips as a part of this stacked undercard.
