Depois das fortes emoções vividas nos tatames do Europeu e do Pan-Americano, é chegada a hora do Campeonato Brasileiro de Jiu-Jitsu da IBJJF sacudir a comunidade do Jiu-Jitsu. Iniciado neste sábado, dia 20 de abril, o torneio se estende até o dia 28 de abril no Ginásio Poliesportivo José Correa em Barueri, São Paulo.

Marcado para o dia 10 de maio, o WNO 23 revelou o card completo que irá acontecer no College Park Center em Arlington, no Texas. O torneio contará com dez lutas ao todo, com seis combates travados no card principal e os outros quatro no preliminar.

PJ Barch is on his way back to the ADCC World Championships, as the 10th Planet standout has accepted an invitation to compete at -77kg in August. Barch, known for his wrestling base, placed 4th in 2022 after an upset victory over the 1-seed JT Torres in the quarterfinals. Barch is currently ranked 5th in the world at 170lbs. Since its inception in 1994, the CBJJ Brazilian National Championships referred to as the Brasileiro, has been one of the fiercest Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments in the world. Only nine non-Brazilians have clinched a gold medal finish in 30 years of competition, and of the nine champions, only three have repeated the accomplishment.

The WNO 23 card is now complete, with 4 undercard matches being announced for the event going down on May 10th in Arlington, Texas. Dante Leon, the 2022 bronze medalist at -77kg, will be returning to ADCC Worlds in August. Dante has set himself apart in the last few years as one of the top pound-for-pound grapplers in the world, having defeated black belt champions up several weight classes from his more natural 155/170. This will be his third consecutive appearance at ADCC Worlds, having placed top-4 in the prior two editions. The entire tournament will be streaming exclusively on FloGrappling.

Former IBJJF black belt World Champion Tye Ruotolo will put the gi back on to enter IBJJF Worlds at middleweight. Tye is a former world champion at lightweight who is known for his aggressive style, scrappy demeanor, and twin brother, and with this entry he sets up potential collision courses with champions like Mica Galvao and Tainan Dalpra.
