Fight to Win Makes History With First All-Female Card

Fight To Win will close out it’s three weekend stint in Miami with a historic event, the first ever all-female card. Fight To Win 162 will feature more than 40 girls’ and women’s matches, the first of at least three all-female events planned on Fight To Win this year.

In the main event, the veteran, Ana Carolina Vieira will take on Atos’ rising star Rafaela Guedes. In the co-main, Amanda “Tubby” Alequin will challenge 2020 Female Grappler of the Year nominee Nathalie Ribeiro.

Main Event: Ana Carolina Vieira vs Rafaela Guedes

Ana Carolina has been utterly dominant in her black belt career, and she nudged her record forward in 2020, going 4-1; her only loss last year was a split decision to Nathiely De Jesus. It was only a matter of time until she faced the newest talent at 145 lbs.

Rafaela Guedes earned her black belt in October of 2020, and immediately ran through the field of competitors, taking double gold at Pans and No-Gi Pans, and also defeating division rival Elisabeth Clay. She finished 2020 with a 10-1 record, but Vieira will be her most decorated test.

Co-Main Event: Amanda Alequin vs Nathalie Ribeiro

Amanda “Tubby” Alequin and Nathalie Ribeiro are each on two-fight win streaks at Fight To Win. Their energetic, submission-oriented styles could make this the match of the evening.

Ribeiro has a vicious kneebar, and a well-versed game from both top and bottom. But Alequin is scrappy, and will likely look to pressure Ribeiro early and often.

Earlier in the event, we’ll see the return of multiple time IBJJF and ADCC World Champion Hannette Staack as she takes on Luanna Alzuguir. And three up-and-coming teens could steal the show. Jasmine Rocha, daughter of Vagner Rocha, will defend her title against Sheree Kerns.

Before that, Sarah Galvao (daughter of Andre Galvao and Angelica Galvao) will represent Atos in her Fight to Win debut, and Helena Crevar will look to collect another vicious submission and add to her four-match win streak.
