Top UFC featherweight Cub Swanson has become must-watch TV over the years, but he's not the only member of his family embracing the spotlight.

As the older brother of "Killer Cub," Steve Swanson (13-3) is ready to bring his own blend of skill, flashiness, finesse, and excitement to the main event of California Fight League (CFL) 12 this Saturday in Palm Springs, CA.

Steve Swanson was potentially on the verge of earning a UFC contract before his last fight but was prevented from doing so by Gustavo Lopez, who submitted Swanson in the first round of their Combate 10 showdown in January.

Swanson's opponent for CFL 12, Andrew Natividad-Marcelo, will look to do the same, and he always comes to fight, which is exemplified by a record that only lists a few decisions.

Also on the card is a featherweight showdown between Roberto Hernandez and Jesse Strader. Both fighters will be making their professional debuts after respectively becoming two of the top amateur fighters in the state of California.

Another notable bout on Saturday night's stacked card is a light heavyweight showdown between prospects Jonathan Noriega (3-0) and Giovanni Sarran (6-2). Both men are riding three-fight finishing streaks and certainly don't plan on letting this one go to the judges' scorecards.
