Hannah Scoggins knows there is expectation hovering above her every time she steps into the cage. And the strange part of it all is just how much she welcomes it.

The up-and-coming talent is still competing in the amateur stage of her fighting career, but Scoggins has already built a solid amount of buzz with the skill set she's displayed. The 19-year-old striker has won all but one of her five showings inside the cage, with the lone setback coming in her most recent showing at Warfare 16 back in August.

That night in Myrtle Beach, SC, the highly touted prospect dropped a gritty decision against Sam Hughes, in a fight in which Scoggins had her fair share of shining moments before ultimately being outmuscled by a much larger opponent. Yet, despite suffering the first loss of her career, Scoggins has a champion's mindset about the road ahead... one that will include a drop down to atomweight waters for her next showing.

FloCombat Senior Editor Duane Finley caught up with Scoggins during a stop on #FCRoadTrip2 in Spartanburg, SC, where the woman poised to be a future star showed wisdom far beyond her age.
