Jordan Ownbey

Light Heavyweight | 2-0-0 | Asheville, NC

Ownbey has only two fights but has started his MMA career nicely by winning both of those showings.

The light heavyweight prospect has dominated both bouts, as he went the distance in his first fight and snatched a guillotine finish in his latest fight. Ownbey relies heavily on his wrestling and moves well in his transitions for a man of his size. On Friday, he is matched up with Lance Abbott, who is currently on a three-fight skid and looking to turn things around in a big way at Cage Fights at The Cowboy.

Ownbey most recently fought at Valor Fights 41 in March, right here on FloCombat. You can watch that scrap in full:

Greg Hopkins

Welterweight | 2-0-0 | Ringgold, GA

Like Ownbey, Hopkins has gotten off to a strong start in his MMA career.

While his most recent fight came in the lightweight ranks, Hopkins will make this showing in the welterweight division against Leslie Merris, who has a huge advantage in experience and is currently riding a two-fight winning streak.

Although Hopkins is in the early stages of his career, the undefeated prospect has already proven capable of fighting through adversity. Hopkins has also shown versatility inside the cage. Though he is strongest on the ground, Hopkins' hands have looked powerful, and his kicking game brings a dangerous wrinkle to his striking.

Hopkins made the FloCombat Top 10 Finishes of July with his finish of Justin Abner at Valor Fights vs. Conflict MMA. Hopkins then followed that up with another strong showing at VFW Fight Nights last month.

Jared Short

Light Heavyweight | 5-1-0 | Hindman, KY

Short has the most experience out of the three at 5-1 overall and is coming off a victory in his most recent showing. Short is an aggressive fighter who always presses the pace and shows his strength by using his wrestling. The Kentucky native has solid jiu-jitsu and effective ground and pound, which he can use to finish fights in a variety of ways.

He is set to face Caleb Lankford (1-2) at Cage Fights at The Cowboy.
