Dana White Confirms Georges St-Pierre Will Fight Michael Bisping
The Georges St-Pierre sweepstakes took another interesting turn on Saturday night.

In the aftermath of UFC 214, an event where welterweight champion Tyron Woodley successfully defended his title in an efficient, albeit minimalist, effort against Demian Maia, the road to a showdown between the current titleholder and the former divisional king appeared to be lined up. UFC President Dana White addressed the issue earlier in the week at a press conference for Saturday night's event and declared St-Pierre would face the winner of Woodley vs. Maia at an event in late 2017.

In making that statement the UFC frontman also addressed a bout between GSP and Michael Bisping that was teased back in March, but when it came to a matchup with the current middleweight champion White declared that particular ship "had sailed."

That said, as we've come to know full and well when it comes to things White makes public, the truth is never quite set in stone. And it appears directions in regard to St-Pierre's return have once again shifted.

Immediately following the event in Anaheim, White told BTSport the original pairing of St-Pierre and Bisping was now "100% on" with a date and location to be determined. If true that means Woodley will not be receiving the big money showdown he was apparently promised, which would be nothing new when it comes to champions and contenders seeing a verbal commitment actually materialize.

And with White's comments pointing specifically to Bisping's willingness to fight and Woodley being one half of a bout that registered the fewest amount of strikes attempted for a five round fight in the history of the UFC....there could be some fire behind the smoke.
