Jon Jones: 'I Would Love To Fight Brock Lesnar'
UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones says he would love to fight Brock Lesnar.
Jon Jones doesn't shy away from a fight, no matter how massive the opponent.
Ahead of his rematch with Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 this Saturday, Jones was asked during a recent Facebook live session if he would face WWE superstar and former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, should "The Beast Incarnate" in fact return to the cage. "Bones" spit it straight.
"I would love to fight Brock Lesnar," Jones said. "He's a massive dude. It'd be a massive draw, really big for the sport. It'd be a great challenge. That's a big ole' boy. I doubt Brock Lesnar would take that fight though."
Then, Jones' striking coach Brandon Gibson chimed in with his own thoughts.
"And if [Lesnar] did I'm sure we would find a great way for your technique to shine and put him away," Gibson said.
Jones agreed and began to elaborate upon how he would fight Lesnar -- then stopped short.
"I definitely wouldn't try to wrestle with him the whole time," Jones said. "I'd be... you know, I'm not going to tell you what I'd do."
Right now, Jones has a different task ahead, as he faces Cormier for the light heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 214 in Anaheim, CA.
