A UFC and Bellator veteran is looking to continue his quest to return to the big stage and a collection of talented prospects are aiming to shine at Fury FC 18 this Saturday night. The action kicks off at 7 PM EDT from Humble, Texas, and streams live on FloCombat.

Here are three reasons you won't want to miss this card.

The Ultimate Fighter Alum Continues His Comeback

Many fans of the UFC's hit reality-based fighting program remember Bubba McDaniel.

The Texas-born fighter was one of the standout personalities during TUF's 17th season, although he was knocked off the show by eventual winner Kelvin Gastelum in the opening round of the tournament. And while McDaniel didn't have the strongest performances in his time under the UFC banner, "The Menace" is determined to prove he has far more to offer if a second chance is granted.

McDaniel has found success in all but one of his showings outside of the big leagues and has notched three straight wins on his recent run. On Saturday night, he'll face Ike Villanueva at Fury FC 18, and a victory over the seasoned veteran could go a long way to getting the resurgent heavyweight McDaniel what he wants.

Prospect Watch: Featherweight Edition

Daniel Heffernan has never tasted defeat as a professional. Furthermore, the 27-year-old prospect's only setback came early in an amateur run that warranted solid buzz on the regional scene.

Heffernan is looking to pick up his fifth professional win at Fury FC 18, but a tough obstacle in Colin Jones is standing in his way. And while Jones may have a record that reflects mixed results inside the cage, all but two of his bouts have ended by way of the finish. Either he gets the stoppage or he's getting stopped... either way, Jones brings the ruckus when things go live.

The co-main event tilt is guaranteed action and could very well promote Heffernan into a bigger conversation with a victory.

Every Career Starts Somewhere

All the greats in MMA history started out as unknowns in their debuts, and the card for Fury FC 18 features three athletes making the walk for the first time. Furthermore, there are three more tilts that showcase fighters who are looking to either notch their second victories or pick up the first wins of their pro careers.

And while the action in these bouts will be far from technical brilliance, we'll quickly find out who has an established base of skill sets to make a run in a sport in which the next great talent can emerge at any time.
