Manager: Conor McGregor's Sponsorships Could Exceed Purse In Mega Fight
Conor McGregor will face Floyd "Money" Mayweather on August 26 in what is figured to be the biggest bout in combat sports history. Everything about the mega-fight has a massive feel as the highly anticipated affair at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is figured to smash all previous records in the pay-per-view realm.

The fighters involved are also eyeing the largest paydays of their respective careers, but the Irishman could very well rake more dough in from sponsors than reported nine-figure fight purse. In an interview with Jonathan Shrager, Audie Attar -- the UFC lightweight champion's manager -- revealed the deals his fighter is signing are some of the largest ever for a combat sports athlete.

"I can't necessarily say who we are talking to but we're talking to brands," Attar said. "We still have communication with Reebok. We have a great deal of respect for them and a long relationship with them. Right now what we are trying to do is work through everything. There are so many things happening in such a short window we are trying to take one thing at a time.

"We are definitely in talks, and when the time is right to announce those sponsorships we will make a splash."

When asked by Shrager whether or not McGregor's sponsorship deals could surpass his purse, Attar answered, "It's conceivable because we are looking at things in the near term and the long term."
