The world is waiting for UFC star Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather to set into one another in the lead up to their mega fight on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas. And while a full promotional four-city promotional tour kicks off tomorrow in Los Angeles, the Irishman didn't care to wait to let the verbal jabs fly.

During an interview with TMZ while walking down Rodeo Drive, the reigning UFC lightweight champion gave his insight into all things Mayweather when asked by a reporter on hand. In classic McGregor fashion he pulled no punches, and even addressed the recent news of the pound-for-pound boxing great's situation with the IRS over unpaid taxes.

While more short worded than we've become accustomed to McGregor being, the SBG Ireland leader was no doubt sniper-like with the bullets he did let fly at Mayweather on Monday afternoon.

"That's gotta sting," McGregor said when asked about Mayweather's tax troubles. "He shoulda paid his taxes and stayed retired and kept my name out of his mouth."

As McGregor's entourage carried on down the street the Dublin native had one last hammer to throw in Mayweather's direction.

"He's f*cked now."
