MMA superstar and former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey recently surprised everyone by revealing that her home in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles had been robbed while she and her partner Travis Browne were out of town.

Despite the unpleasant situation, the couple managed to identify the suspects through security cameras and police arrested them soon after. When he learned of the thieves' arrest, UFC heavyweight Browne said that he asked the police officer to have a few minutes with the criminals before they went to court.

That wish, of course, was refused.

"They stole some things from my house in April," Browne said. “The guy made a mistake, he’s behind bars now and will have plenty of time to think about what he did. The detective called me and asked me what punishment I think those guys deserved.

“I asked them to give me five minutes with them”, Browne laughed. “The detective said they couldn’t do that."

Still, Browne knows he’s fortunate to have enough financial security to not have his life ruined by the incident.

"In the end, we have to be thankful that we can pay for the loss”, Browne said. “We had things stolen worth 45,000 Dollars, plus things we can’t put a value on. But we can expect insurance [to come up for it] and this will not affect our lives."

Browne also revealed that he will marry Rousey in his home state of Hawaii but refused to give away the date and location:

"It will be in my house. I'm going home and getting married over there. I won’t reveal where it’ll be (laughs). But the wedding will not be completely Hawaiian."

Browne is scheduled to face Alexey Oleynik at UFC 213 this Saturday. With only one win in his last five fights, the heavyweight is put with his back against the wall at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
