3 Reasons To Watch ONE: Dynasty Of Heroes On FloCombat
The Singapore Indoor Stadium will play host to ONE Championship: Dynasty of Heroes this Friday, May 26, at 8:30 a.m. EST live on FloCombat for U.S.-based subscribers.

Along with the return of undefeated welterweight champion “Funky” Ben Askren, atomweight phenom Angela Lee is also back in action to defend her title in the main event.

Here are the top-three reasons to watch.

“Unstoppable” World Tour continues

ONE Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee aims for her eighth win when she battles undefeated Brazilian Istela Nunes.

Lee (7-0) gets a quick turnaround with this matchup, as she recently defeated Jenny Huang by third-round stoppage back at ONE Championship: Warrior Kingdom in March. The 20-year-old Hawaii native has won six of her seven career fights via stoppage, notching five submissions and one knockout.

Nunes (5-0) hasn’t fought since an August 2016 unanimous decision victory over Mei Yamaguchi at ONE Championship: Heroes of the World. The 24-year-old trains at Paraná Vale Tudo in Brazil with UFC standout Jéssica Andrade.

Askren looks to stay unbeaten

“Funky” Ben Askren returns to the cage for the first time in over a year when he battles undefeated Malaysian prospect Agilan “Alligator” Thani.

Askren (15-0) has dominated his opponents since joining ONE in 2014, finishing two of his last three foes. The 32-year-old Roufusport product is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Nikolay Aleksakhin at ONE Championship: Global Rivals in April 2016 and holds career wins over current Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima and former Bellator champ Andrey Koreshkov.

Thani (7-0), meanwhile, fought back in February, earning a second-round submission victory over Jeff Huang at ONE Championship: Throne of Tigers. The 21-year-old fighter has won all of his fights by stoppage and has fought all but one of his professional matchups under the ONE banner.

Fan-favorite Garry “The Lion Killer Tonon faces off with former ONE titleholder Shinya Aoki in a submission-only grappling super-match.

Tonon was upset at Submission Underground 3 from a flying triangle courtesy of UFC middleweight Antonio Carlos Junior, but the New Jersey native holds no-gi victories over Gilbert Burns, Dillon Danis, Marcin Held, Vinny Magalhaes and Beneil Dariush (among others).

You can watch our most recent interview with Tonon here:

Tonon now faces the multiple-time grappling champion Aoki, who hasn’t competed in MMA since his knockout loss to Eduard Folayang at ONE Championship: Defending Honor in November. The 34-year-old Japanese legend has competed against Kron Gracie, Roger Gracie and, in a 2009 grappling match, Fedor Emelianenko. The former PRIDE champion called Tonon out in late 2016, which is likely how this matchup came to fruition.

You can watch all the action exclusively on FloCombat in the U.S. at 8:30 a.m. EST.
