White: We Lost Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather Date To Canelo vs. GGG
The highly touted and heavily speculated fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor has remained at the forefront of combat sports news for the better for the past six months. And UFC President Dana White has been heavily featured in that chaos.

The promotional front man has been the face of the situation from the organization's side as the Irish superstar has been on hiatus in expectation, and now arrival, of his first child.

Since McGregor is under contract with the UFC, White has been the main negotiator involved with Mayweather's camp to make the fight official. And while there has yet to be any true ground made in getting the bout locked, there was a venue lined up and a date saved for the potential fight. That date has now been taken.

Immediately followed Canelo Alvarez's steam rolling of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr Saturday night in Las Vegas, a mega-fight was announced between Alvarez and Gennady Glovokin for Sept. 16. White was in attendance for the bout and spoke to FightHub.TV about the situation now affecting the deal he's working on.
