Gegard Mousasi Disputes Ronda Rousey's Legacy In MMA
There's no sugarcoating things were Gegard Mousasi is concerned.

Since his arrival to the UFC back in 2013, the Dutch/Armenian fighter has evolved from a combatant who preferred to let his actions inside the cage speak for him, to one of the premiere mouthpieces in the game. Much like his offensive attack when the fight goes live, Mousasi doesn't pull punches on the microphone and his willingness to engage in conversations the majority of his peers would avoid has made Mousasi one of the can't miss interviews in the sport.

Whether it's his strange beef with Conor McGregor or his thoughts on USADA's effectiveness in leveling out the playing field in MMA; there doesn't seem to be any topic Mousasi won't address if asked. The surging middleweight contender was recently interviewed by Singapore's TODAY, and was asked where he felt former women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey stood on the women's MMA mountain.

In classic Mousasi fashion, the response was swift and merciless.

“She’s a good fighter, she has the mentality of a fighter,” Mousasi said. “But she doesn’t have the skills of a stand-up fighter. How can the media make her one of the best fighters when she can’t even kick or punch? That’s like Serena Williams without a backhand. How do they make her the greatest fighter of all time?”
