Georges St-Pierre Eyes Conor McGregor For Final UFC Fight
Georges St-Pierre wants to close his career with a fight against UFC lightweight king Conor McGregor.

Georges St-Pierre may have just declared his move to middleweight, but it looks like that might not be the only weight class he tries out in his UFC return.
In February, it was announced that the longtime welterweight champion would return to the sport to challenge UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping for his world title. According to boxing trainer Freddie Roach, there's another major fight on St-Pierre's landscape.
"With the last fight, we're hoping for it to be Conor McGregor," Roach told Fight Hub TV. "Who wouldn't want that fight? I mean, it's a big fight."
McGregor is currently taking time off as his long-term partner is pregnant with their first child. He is also in negotiations to fight boxing great Floyd Mayweather in what would be a financial windfall for everyone involved.
"The Notorious One" is the former UFC featherweight champion and currently holds the UFC lightweight championship, but with a 30-pound difference between the lightweight (155 lbs) and middleweight (185 lbs) divisions, it's not clear what kind of arrangement would be made to make up for the size difference.
"We'd have to maybe cut weight, meet in the middle somewhere, but there's long negotiations that could still happen, of course," Roach said. "But who wouldn't want that fight?"
When it was announced that St-Pierre would be returning to mixed martial arts, UFC president Dana White said the fighter would be interested in competing outside the welterweight division he dominated for so long, citing both the middleweight and lightweight divisions as possibilities.
In February, St-Pierre's trainer Faris Zahabi told MMAFighting.com's The MMA Hour that an ideal situation would be fights against both Bisping and McGregor, further fueling speculation the fight could eventually happen.
"I thought those two (Bisping and McGregor) would be two epic fights," Zahabi said. "One, [St-Pierre] would go a little lower [in weight]; one, he would go a little higher. But those are really, really intriguing fights."
No date has been announced for St-Pierre's middleweight title fight with Bisping.
