Conor McGregor: F*ck Floyd Mayweather
UFC superstar Conor McGregor had some choice words for Boxing great Floyd Mayweather.
There's been a lot of speculation growing around the superfight between boxing great Floyd Mayweather and UFC superstar Conor McGregor actually becoming a reality. According to the Irishman it's close to becoming official and the proverbial gloves are off.
"F*ck Floyd," McGregor told IFL.TV. "This whole boxing world don't know what they are gonna see when I roll in here. I'm unpredictable. Nobody knows what they are in for. Everyone is writing me off. Everyone has this little….but they're gonna be in shock. Make no mistake about it.
"I'm ready. I look forward to it. I'm excited. I'm prepared. We are very close to inking it. I'm not gonna say no more. We're very close. That's it."
McGregor was in New York City to support his fellow countryman and Olympian Michael Conlan who turned in a successful showing at Madison Square Garden on St. Patrick's Day. Following the fight, McGregor exploded on boxing media sitting ringside and unleashed a verbal tiraid on the unsuspecting reporters.
That heat continued to flow backstage where IFL.TV picked up more goods from the brash-talking UFC champion. And from the sound of what McGregor had to say, he has his eyes locked firmly on a new prize and that's becoming the first man to dethrone the pound-for-pound boxing great.
