The UFC 209 co-main event pitting Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson for the interim UFC lightweight title is canceled.

UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov was reportedly hospitalized prior to the UFC 209 weigh-ins. He is scheduled to face Tony Ferguson for the interim UFC lightweight title tomorrow, Saturday, March 4, at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena.

The news was originally reported by Russian media outlet Izvestia, and a follow-up from ESPN.com's Brett Okamoto seemed confirm the report.

In the original news blast from Izvestia, Nurmagomedov's father commented, and Bloody Elbow provided a transcription.

"Yes, Khabib was taken to hospital," Abdulmanap said. "But it happened before weigh-ins by three hours so he may be okay."

Meanwhile, Ferguson successfully made weight for the bout, clocking in at 154.5.
