Despite currently being stuck in a career-worst losing streak of two, Holly Holm has a chance to make history Saturday, Feb. 11, at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, New York.

Against Germaine De Randamie, "The Preacher's Daughter" will compete for the inaugural women's featherweight title in the main event of UFC 208 and may become the first female fighter—and the fourth fighter overall—to become champion in two different weight classes in the UFC. And these achievements are what motivates the former multiple-division champion in boxing to overcome the struggles of two consecutive setbacks and make the best out of the situation.

In an interview with FOX Sports, Holm stated that she is inspired by the possibility of making history in MMA right in front of her. Holm made it a point to emphasize that she doesn't want to be remembered only as the one who ended an era in women's MMA by knocking out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. And, in fact, it might be difficult for Holm to find a better opportunity to broaden her legacy than the one she will get in Brooklyn come Saturday.

"I don't want my whole career to be defined around getting the belt from Ronda," Holm said.  "I want my career to be defined by me being the best fighter I can be and accomplishing the biggest things I can, from whatever competition comes in front of me.

"Who doesn't want that? Who doesn't want to have the chance to make history and it give that extra motivation for it. It's one of these things, how can you not get excited preparing for something like that?"

Holm secured the UFC bantamweight title with that knockout victory over Rousey at UFC 193 then lost it in her next contest, getting submitted by Miesha Tate at UFC 196. At age 35, the American owns a career record of 10 wins with two defeats.
