White: Conor McGregor Not in Immediate Plans
Conor McGregor won't compete on Saturday's UFC 207 fight card, but he's still under the spotlight in Las Vegas.

At Wednesday's UFC 207 Media Day, reporters chatted with UFC President Dana White, asking him a handful of questions about the Irish superstar.

First up, White was asked if he and the new UFC owners (WME-IMG) had met with McGregor since his last fight to discuss future plans and current standings. This comes on the heels of some discontent from camp McGregor, who recently said the UFC never contacted them about relinquishing the UFC featherweight title. That belt was stripped from McGregor earlier this month.

"When Conor's ready to talk, he knows where I am," White said.

McGregor most recently competed at UFC 205, where he won the UFC lightweight championship, becoming the first ever simultaneous two-division champ in the promotion's storied history. Shortly after the fight, McGregor announced he and his girlfriend Dee Devlin were expecting a child, forcing him out of competition for some time.

Wednesday, White clarified that timeline.

"The last conversation that Conor and I had, he was taking 10 months off," White said. "So everybody keeps talking—I'm not even thinking about Conor. Conor is not in my plans for the next 10 months. At all. Listen, we run a business. We make fights. I know who's available. I know who's not available.

"Conor told me, 'I'm not available for 10 months. We're having a baby. My girl stresses out when I fight, and I don't want to put that on her while she's pregnant.' I love it. I respect it. I get it. Do your thing, buddy."

McGregor, meanwhile, has contradicted that timeline in recent interviews.

"As far as a break, I don't know," McGregor said in an interview with RTE Sports (via MMAFighting.com). "I know Dana has been on record, being like, '10 months — he's taking 10 months off.' Where did you [get] 10 months?"
