The UFC 206 open workouts took place in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday afternoon.

Both co-main event fighters were scheduled to complete open workouts, however, with Donald Cerrone’s coaches yet to arrive in Toronto, the Albuquerque native instead chose to spend his time meeting fans and taking pictures with them.

Speaking in a media scrum afterwards, Cerrone was questioned about his involvement with the newly established MMMAA organization. Surprisingly, the former UFC lightweight title contender distanced himself somewhat from the group and said that while he believed there were some fighter issues such as pensions etc to sort out, he would be going to dinner this week with Dana White this week to talk through some of the matters at hand.

After completing his open workout session, Matt Brown was in no mood for necessities when talking about his opponent on Saturday night.

“He’s not my friend, he’s never been my friend,” Brown said when asked about his relationship with Cerrone. He also stated that they had only trained once or twice and that he’d didn’t believe was a good ambassador for the sport.

Given what was said, for Brown at least, there isn’t going to be any love loss when the two mix it up in the Octagon on Saturday night.
