Norman Parke is done with waiting around. He's going to call his shot, and he wants on the Bellator 169 card taking place in Dublin, Ireland, this December in a bad way.  

Parke last fought on October 1 at Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) 47, which took place in Glasgow, Scotland. That evening, the Northern Irishman made a winning return to the cage by beating Andrew Fisher via a unanimous decision. Parke was let go by the Ultimate Fighting Championship earlier in 2016 after losing to Rustam Khabilov at UFC Fight Night 84 in London, England.

On December 16, the leading British mixed martial arts organization BAMMA join forces with Bellator MMA on a night where both BAMMA 27 and Bellator 169 take place at the 3Arena in Dublin. Parke is determined to get on the Bellator show in December for his fans after pulling out of his last fight at Cage Legacy Fighting Championship on October 29 due to the injuries he suffered in his fight with Fisher.

"I want to fight, because I had a lot of fans, friends, and family coming down to watch my fight in Drogheda and I got suspended," Parke said. "I want to pay them back for their loyalty, and I can't think of a better stage than in Dublin on December 16.

"Bellator are an amazing promotion, and it'd be an honor to fight on their card. I know it's a bit of a long shot now, but I'm ready for this. All Scott Coke has to do is pick up the phone, and I'm there. I'd be silly not to put my name forward."

While Parke is willing to do whatever it takes to get on the December 16 show, he believes he's found the perfect opponent after watching Bellator 162 this past weekend.

"I watched the Bellator show last night on Spike, and Goiti Yamauchi looked great beating Ryan Couture," Parke said. "It was a nice finish, and I think it would be a good fight because he's a high-level BJJ black belt who's been in there with a lot of good guys and has a high finishing rate.

"I think he'd be a great opponent for me and I think I can make a big statement to the rest of the world if I beat him, and I know I can do it.

"No one beats me on home soil, and I'd be ready for anything he's got. So let's do it."
